The other two, through their sheer grit, made a mark in their life and bravely faced all the odds and obstacles in an alien milieu. The novel is full of pathos, events, drama, romance, and typical Punjabi sense of humor. The book advocates against religious bigotry without being didactic, because of which mankind is suffering till date. It is a great subject for a movie.
