The book "The Origins of Constitutional Rights" by Professor Ademar Ismen reviews different constitutional systems and analyzes the rights and duties stipulated in constitutions. The book is divided into two main parts: The first deals with the English constitution and the formation of Parliament, and highlights the differences between the two feudal systems in England and France, in addition to the responsibilities placed on the king and the government in that period. The second section deals with the French Revolution and the ideas put forward by eighteenth-century philosophers such as Montesquieu and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and their influence on the formation of modern constitutions, including the principle of separation of powers and the right of peoples to self-determination through elections.

آديمار إيسمن (1848-1913) هو واحد من أبرز رجال القانون الفرنسي، متخصص في القانون الدستوري وتاريخ القانون. وُلِد في جنوب غرب فرنسا وحصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في القانون عام 1878. عُيّن أستاذًا لمادة القانون الجنائي في كلية دوي، ثم انتقل لتدريس القانون الدستوري في جامعة باريس. عُرف بإسهاماته في تأسيس الفكر الكلاسيكي للقانون الدستوري في الجمهورية الثالثة، وكتب العديد من المؤلفات حول تاريخ القانون والإجراءات الجنائية. توفي في باريس عام 1913، تاركًا إرثًا قانونيًا كبيرًا.
