Beschreibungen

Practice has proven that conducting safety evaluations of reservoir dams has become a necessary measure to ensure the safety of water conservancy projects. This book introduces the development and achievements in the safety management of reservoir dams in China. Each chapter systematically sorts out and integrates evaluation measures related to different stages of the entire life cycle of reservoir dams, including planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance, repair and reinforcement, and decommissioning or removal, forming a complete dam safety evaluation management system.

This book emphasizes the importance of conducting on-site inspections for dam safety management. A differentiated safety evaluation method and disposal strategy have been proposed for different engineering scales, management levels, and risk levels, making the technical route of safety evaluation more reasonable and operable. The book is written as a reference book for professional engineers and is also suitable for post graduate courses.

1. general provisions.- 2. basic data.- 3. on-site safety inspection and test.- 4. Analysis on safety monitoring data.- 5. evaluation on construction quality.

Prof. Yan Xiang is currently the Director of Scientific Research Management Department of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, serves as the vice chairman of the Reservoir Dam and Nuclear Underwater Engineering Technology Professional Committee of the China Diving Salvage Association, the deputy secretary general of the Water Resources Management Professional Committee of the China Hydraulic Engineering Society, and a commissioner of the Intelligent Construction and Management Professional Committee of the China National Committee on Large Dams. He has long been engaged in research on safety diagnosis and risk assessment of water conservancy and hydropower engineering, underwater detection of high dams, intelligent monitoring, and other aspects. As the discipline leader of the Innovation Team for Reservoir Dam Safety and Management of the Ministry of Water Resources, he has led and participated in more than 20 scientific research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation, and the Asian Regional Cooperation Fund, and published over 50 papers and published 7 books, and authorized more than 10 nation invention patents (including 1 international invention patent). He has presided over the completion of more than 60 dam safety evaluations for reservoirs. He has enriched and improved the dam safety management system of "intelligent monitoring, precise diagnosis, risk assessment and intelligent management", and his research results have solved key technological problems such as reservoir dam disease diagnosis and safety monitoring, risk assessment and emergency management, and grading and scrapping decision. He is one of the lead authors of National Sector Standards including Guidelines on dam safety evaluation, Guidelines for reservoir demotion and retirement evaluation, and so on.

Prof. Zhimin Fu is an associate professor at the College of Hydrology and Water Resources, Hohai University. She mainly engages in research on dam safety evaluation, formulation of reservoir operation regulations, emergency response plans for flood control and rescue, reservoir dam risk analysis, informatization and intelligent management of water conservancy projects. She has led and participated in multiple scientific research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China " Key technologies and applications of safety diagnosis and smart management of reservoir dams", the National Natural Science Foundation of China's "Research on the Impact of Overextraction of Groundwater on Near Surface Heat Island Effect", the National Natural Science Foundation of China's "Research on the Response of Unsaturated Water Flow and Pollution to Vertical Cracks", and the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Plan project "Construction of a Benign Operation Management Model for Water Conservancy Engineering in Yunnan Province". She has published over 30 papers, and authorized more than 10 nation invention patents.

Prof. Chengdong Liu works at the Dam Safety Management Department of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, mainly engaged in research on reservoir dam safety evaluation, safety monitoring and early warning, and informatization and intelligent management of water conservancy projects. He has led and participated in multiple scientific research projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program of China and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has also led and completed the research on dam safety evaluation, preparatory emergency plans, dam safety monitoring, and information systems for more than 100 large-sized and medium-sized reservoirs, including the Xiaolangdi Hydro-Junction, Danjiangkou Reservoir, Siminghu Reservoir, and Heilongtan Reservoir. He is one of the lead authors of National Sector Standards including Guidelines on dam safety evaluation, Technical specifications for real-time automatic monitoring and early warning system of termites in water conservancy and hydropower projects, and so on. Liu was selected as a top notch talents in the "Kunlun Talent · High-end Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Project" in Qinghai Province in 2020. He has published over 50 academic papers and published 5 books.
