The author - may God have mercy on him - began this letter by showing that the whole religion is due to its entirety to two things: patience and thanksgiving, and he inferred for that by the Almighty saying: {In that there are verses of all the righteousness of thanks Wonder, God does not judge a believer in a judiciary, but he was good for him. Then he showed that patience is generally divided into three sections: First: Patience to obey until he does it. Second: Patience for the forbidden so that he does not do it. Third: Patience for what it suffers without choosing the calamities.
