Beschreibungen

This book presents a series of ethnological studies of the Indians of Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland, around what is asserted to be one of the most curious records of ancient American history. (Daniel G. Brinton, The Lenâpé and Their Legends)
Daniel Garrison Brinton (1837 –1899) was an American surgeon, historian, archaeologist and ethnologist. From 1868 to 1899, Brinton wrote many books, and a large number of pamphlets, brochures, addresses and magazine articles. In addition, he edited and published a Library of American Aboriginal Literature (8 vols. 1882–1890), a valuable contribution to the science of anthropology in America.
